Acura Announces Special Edition TSX for 2012 Line Up

As part of the celebration of Acura's 25th anniversary, Acura has announced that they will be adding a Special Edition TSX Sports Sedan to their upcoming line up.
This 2012 TSX Sports Sedan will be the third variation of the TSX. The TSX and TSX Sport Wagon are currently on the market and have experienced high popularity due to the nature of the TSX's sporty design. The TSX and TSX Sport Wagon have received outstanding consumer and product ratings, and are priced reasonably well with the TSX starting around $30K and the Sport Wagon around $35K. These vehicles are extremely fuel efficient a
nd come standard with features such as power leather seats, sunroof, Bluetooth, USB/iPOD connectivity, and Acura's latest navigation system. If the TSX Sport Sedan is anything like these other TSXs - which we expect it to be of course - then it will be amazing.
The TSX Special Edition Sports Sedan is packing numerous upgrades that include a more aggressive front spoiler, a new rear bumper fascia, unique side sills, and an exclusive Special Edition badge on the trunk lid in addition to 17 x 7.5 - inch, 5 spoke aluminum wheels that will feature a polished finish with dark gray background - and that's just the exterior.
The interior is expected to have exclusive seating surfaces with black Lux Suede inserts with red backing. A unique pattern of red stitching will be used on the seats, steering wheel and shift knob. There will also be red lighting for the instrument cluster gauges, overhead and footwell lighting as well to enhance the red stitching. Rumored to have a race car type appearance the interior will also feature aluminum pedal covers. Bright silver plating for the steering-wheel-mounted paddle shifters along with a black headliner material will round out the interior upgrades.
The 2012 Acura TSX Special Edition Sports Sedan will feature Acura's acclaimed K24 2.4-liter 4 cylinder engine and will be available in close-ratio 6 speed manual or 5 speed automatic.
The 2012 TSX S.E. Sports Sedan is expected to make its debut at the Orange County International Auto Show on September 22nd.
